RoHS certification is proof that a product complies with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive. The directive forbids (exceeding certain limits in) the use of lead, mercury, and cadmium as well as other potentially harmful materials in electronic and electrical equipment. Products that comply with the requirements are given the RoHS compliance mark, signifying that they are secure for use and do not endanger the environment or human health. Manufacturers and distributors who want to sell their goods in the European Union or other nations with comparable laws must obtain the certification.
Stage-2 Audit:- stage-2 audit, the auditor verifies that the organization implement according to its documentation and if the auditor of certification body identifies the non conformities then the auditor give the opportunity to correct the non conformities.
Granting of Certification:- The Certification Body will issue a certificate of compliance, which is valid for three years.
